The Challenge
Our client needed to manage several dozen AWS accounts and was facing a critical bottleneck. Business (non-technical) users could not access cloud cost and inventory data and depended entirely on technical teams. This dependency caused delays of 3 to 5 days in key reports, resulting in a 15% inefficiency for technical teams and limiting the visibility required to optimize significant monthly savings.
The Solution
Keepler implemented an advanced Generative AI solution to democratize data access. A secure, agentic chatbot was developed using Amazon Bedrock to interpret business users’ natural-language questions.
This chatbot instantly translates queries (e.g., “How much did project X spend last month?”) into complex SQL statements. These statements are executed securely against Amazon Athena, which aggregates financial and inventory data from more than 130 AWS accounts.
The solution enables complete self-service for business users to generate reports and obtain insights without technical intervention, using Azure AD for authentication and KMS encryption to meet the client’s strict security standards.
